LIFTING AS THEY CLIMBED: THE TOUR

Learn and explore the beauty of the Southside

The guidebook is a self guided tour made for readers  to learn Black women's history while exploring the hidden gems throughout Chicago that their lives are connected to. Take your friends and family to landmarks and locations that illuminate the beauty and rich legacies in communities.

There are five immersive tours featured in the guidebook. We've also included mini tours in the guidebook. There are infinite options for you to explore. While we offer some suggestions, we want readers to create their own tours based on personal interest.
