LIFTING AS THEY CLIMBED: THE TOUR

Learn and explore the beauty of the Southside

The guidebook is a self guided tour made for readers  to learn Black women's history while exploring the hidden gems on the South Side of Chicago that their lives are connected to. Take your friends and family to landmarks and locations that illuminate the beauty and rich legacies in communities.

There are 33 locations featured in the guidebook. We've also included 10 additional sites of interest. While we offer some suggestions, we want readers to create thier own tours based on personal interest.
